Beech leaf disease threatens trees in New England, Arnold Arboretum

Two pesticides, potassium phosphite and fluopyram, are proving to protect beech against the disease. When poured into the base of a tree, potassium phosphite can stimulate its ability to protect itself against nematodes. Fluopyram is sprayed onto foliage and kills nematodes directly. It’s highly effective — though it’s not magic.
